Over 25 questions have been submitted until the scheduled date of 30th April 2014. Based on the similarity of the questions, the answers have been grouped into three categories concerning registration, participation eligibility and context – submission issues.

Registration

  • There is no registration or registration fee needed to participate in the competition. Anyone who meets the participation standards should simply submit the project and the accompanying documents, as described in the competition brief, on the 1st of September 2014.

  • To avoid any possible misunderstandings, we would like to point out that the date of 30th April 2014 refers only to the submission of questions by the competition participants.

Participation eligibility

  • The competition is international and open to all undergraduate as well as post-graduate (Master and PhD) students from Greece and abroad, provided that they can officially prove their student identity.

  • Students who will have received their degree in spring or summer 2014 graduation periods (April, May, June, July, September) can equally take part in the competition as single participants or team members, on condition that they will provide official proof of their graduation date.

  • There is no limit to the number of members that each team may be comprised of.

  • The competition refers strictly to students and not to professionals.

Context – Submission

  • Concerning car traffic and other circulation network issues participants are free to make changes, as far as these are adequately justified in the general frame of their project taking into consideration the existing conditions.

  • There is no suggested budget restriction concerning the proposals submitted for the competition. Participants should freely elaborate on their ideas keeping equally in mind their impact on ecological, socio-economic and perceptual level.

  • Sufficient additional information about Tritis Septemvriou Street landscape can be found in the plans and documents (e.g. Strategic and operational project for the landscape enhancement of Thessaloniki) provided in the Downloads menu of the competition web page.

  • In order to ensure equal terms of evaluation for the competed projects, any form of submitted digital material additional to the one described in the competition brief will not be taken into consideration.
